Action 1:Students of Industrial Design branch and 2 teachers will participate.The issue is education in the development of innovative ideas, design, testing, production and promotion of innovative products to market.The economic recession in which our country is found, necessitates not only the development and expansion of processing, but also the creation of new profitable innovative companies utilizing expertise from countries leaders in the field.Action 2:The contribution of tourism and, by extension of tourist services in the Cyprus economy is very important. For the tourism to follow its rising course despite the critical economic situation of Cyprus we believe that we as a country need to invest in strengthening the training of human resources involved in the tourist sector and to promote new technology to an even wider range of providers in the tourist services field. In this context, our school in an attempt to give a European dimension to the curriculum, to improve the staff skills, teaching methods and make our students able to cope with the challenges of the future, created this proposal.In general:Our goal is our participation in this program to be the starting point for other actions that will follow, as part of a long-term planning in order to develop good practice through international partnerships. The targets set by the program can be summarized in the following: • Get to know planning processes, production, control and promotion of innovative products• To recognize the importance of new technology in the development of innovative products• To promote research and innovation• Get to know professional and educational outlets in the new European context• Get to know the educational system in Denmark• To improve their skills and abilities in handling information• Students will be trained by coming into direct contact with the profession in actual working conditions• Students will be trained by experienced instructors in new methods applied in another European country• Students will acquire basic work experience, which will add to their CV and certification of their skills• Our school, on the other hand, through the implementation of the projects will gain experience in organizing European programs, as well as additional knowledge to practices used in European companies.Students, apart from knowledge, will enhance the personal and professional profile with the certificate Europass, which will be useful in finding a job and their professional development. We expect that the project will have a major impact at local, regional and national level, since our school will gain experience in participation in European projects and we think that will give prestige to the educational practice follow. In the long run, we hope our school be a good attraction for students and inspirational teachers that emphasize innovation. Finally, we believe that the exchange of best practices and to strengthen the European dimension in education is a key objective that must govern the education of each EU Member.
