Early school leaving can constitute an obstacle not only for the person's professional development but also for its mental, psychological and social prosperity in general. It is therefore extremely important that the proper counselling and support is provided to the student that is 'at risk', as well as to the people of the student's environment. It is also important that support is provided to ensure the successful integration of student within the school commmunity, especially for students coming form socially vulnerable groups. Within such an environment, the educator's role cannot just be the mere transfer of knowledge but the reinforcement of education's value as a whole and the ability to approach students as personalities, identifying the motives and incentives that will keep them in school education. This role that educators assume, inevitably leads to the need for lifelong learning and the constant upgrade of the educators' counselling skills. The aim of the programme 'Education to prevent Student failure' is to introduce new methods of reaching out to students who are threatened by failure and early school leaving, the enrichment of the supportive school structures aimed at students and parents, and the reinforcement of the teacher's role as a mentor. The mobility project for secondary and lifelong learning teachers and relative professionals, includes a training seminar with a duration of 36 hours. The suggested training seminar supports counsellors/educators so that they upgrade their working methods and acquire those supportive techniques that can be used as tools to tackle student failure and early school leaving.
