The project is about sending the school workers on the language and training courses taking place abroad. The purpose of the project is to equip some part of the teaching staff with language skills, which will enable them to introduce their schools into the European aspect of education; what’s more, they will also have access to tools and programmes supporting education in its international aspect; their training and workshop skills will improve and as a result their didactic efficiency and effectiveness will increase, too. It has been planned that 4 teachers would take part in the project: an English teacher, a representative of the management staff, a vocational subject teacher and a science teacher. The choice of the participants will be related to the school’s long-term development plan and it will be the first stage of the strategy. The activities included in the project:• recruitment of the participants from the management and teaching staff;• preparation of the participants to the trip – presentation of the expectations and the ways of using the acquired knowledge;• booking of the appropriate course in relation to its content, the teachers availability and the school’s needs;• planning and the organisation of the trip – insurance and other relevant issues connected with the teachers’ stay abroad;• language skills evaluation of the participants based on the diagnostic test prepared by an English teacher; • initial evaluation conducted by the headmaster based on the observation of the lessons and the tools and methods used by the teacher – related to the English teacher;• joint planning of the presentation of the results of the courses and the materials;• participation in the chosen courses;• writing reports and news from the stay abroad; • preparation of the materials from the course to be presented to the other teachers at school after the return; • public presentation of the courses’ effects;• headmaster’s observations after the teachers’ return to compare the teaching methods before and after the course;• language evaluation of the teachers taking part in the language courses;• spreading information connected with the project and its results in the local area by organizing demonstrative lessons for the parents, partners and other teachers;• financial settlement and report;The results of the project are as follows:• the increase of the teachers’ language competence;• acquiring the knowledge of the innovative teaching methods and the increase in the didactic efficiency;• getting to know methods to motivate students for the self-development;• better understanding of the practices and systems used in children’s education in various countries;• the possibility for the school to start international cooperation;• looking for the partner schools in the EU;• the indirect effect will be the teachers’ activation and motivation to take part in different projects, especially those who hasn’t participated in similar activities, or those who felt to be linguistically incompetent, or with low-self-esteem and lack of faith in their own skills; • acquiring needed language skills to take part in eTwinning and other projects using the e-learning to cooperate with teachers and students;• improvement in the didactic efficiency of other teachers and promoting other training methods and solutions;The implementation of the project will lead to many long-lasting benefits. Finding a strategic partner in the EU countries will enable us to use job shadowing and organise work placement for our secondary vocational school students. It will also help us strengthen and direct the cooperation between us and our partners in Germany and Israel.The project will increase the motivation of the teaching staff to participate in various international projects and later to organise similar ones by themselves. All those activities will influence our educational offer making us a more competitive school and, thanks to this, more students will choose to learn here. What’s more, by providing students with better key skills we will increase their chances on the educational and job market.
