The context of the project; "Education for peace intergenerational transmission of knowledge adults" was a need to develop education for peace in situations of conflict in Europe. The applicant institution is the Foundation Gaudete from Katowice. Implementation of the project proceeded on 01.11.2014 to 31.10.2015. The aim of the project was to improve the skills of those involved in the activities of the Foundation Gaudete. The project participants were employees and volunteers. The project involved six participants. The participants had a need to know how other countries such as Spain are developing areas of education for peace in the intergenerational transmission. The special needs of the participants represented the best use of existing initiatives in the areas of intercultural and intergenerational Education, Learning for life, post-conflict reconstruction, European citizenship, European awareness. On the background of conflicts and social tensions currently occurring in Europe, the project was selected partner Associacio Cultural Catalonopolonesa (ACCP). Partner is established in Spain in the Catalonia region. It is a region that seeks to achieve independence. Partner has extensive experience in working with immigrants and activities in a multicultural environment. Choice of partner was based on the assumption that peace education is not only a form of education that is needed in areas of conflict. It is also necessary as a form of education in all communities facing the challenge of integration and cohesion in the social, cultural and political. As a partner organization in Spain has been organized for staff and volunteers training course. Before leaving, the participants held a cultural-linguistic preparation. It accounted for the practical and logistic support and provide good preparation for departure. The project was in line with the priorities specific area of ??adult education - providing information on access to learning throughout life, - the creation of educational opportunities tailored to individual adults. Implementation of the project has helped to improve participants' competences in the area of ??knowledge, experience, skills. The project supported activities to improve quality, innovate and international dimension of the applicant institution - Foundation Gaudete. Participants by participating in the project developed competencies personal, interpersonal and intercultural. Implementation of the project helped to increase the number of adults participating in the learning process throughout life. The project was in line with the strategic objectives of the Education and Training 2020 in the range of indices and references: Participation of adults in learning throughout life: on average, in Europe at least 15% of adults.
