The „EDU-DESIGN. Education for designing the future” project is an answer for the need of upgrading the quality of activities of the applicant organisation. It also answers the need of widening the scope of support offered to (Polish) non-governmental organisations active in the field of adult education, through upgrading skills of the adult learning professionals, cooperating with the applicant organisation. The activities would be realized in the period August 2016 – November 2017 in 4 European countries. The general aim of the project is learning various models and forms of lifelong learning organising and supporting being realised successfully by the partner organisations, in the field of non-vocational, non-formal adult education.The specific goals of the learning mobilities are: 1) Initiating activities aiming at creating a research & developement unit of the FAIE Foundation for effective learning needs diagnosis in the non-vocational, non-formal adult education field as well as for developing solutions in a form of training, development and advisory programmes.2) Upgrading competences concerning good practices in networking developing and promoting, especially the international and inter-sectoral networking, for promoting and realising adult non-formal and non-vocational education.3) Upgrading the level of competences of the FAIE’s adult learning professionals needed for creating a Center for Support of the Life-Long Learning Leaders in adult education.All those goals are in line with the organisation's mid-term and long-term strategic goals. There will be 3 learning mobilities realised, with 4 participants of the adult learning professionals each:1. To Hungary – an observation/job-shadowing concerning the methods of work successfully used in adult education, including rural areas, organized by the partner organization - Hungarian Folk High School Society (HFHSS);2. To Italy – a course in the field of networking and good practices concerning research & development unit building, which will be organized by the partner organization - COOSS MARCHE Onlus Scpa;3. To Cyprus – a course on working with the use of an innovative Structured Dialogic Design Process methodology (SDDM), which will be organized by partner organization - Future Worlds Center. For planning the project as well as for its realisation there is a project cycle management methodology applied. For the learning process planning the Kolb’s Cycle model will be used (experience – observation and reflection – building hypothesis – testing).The outcomes of the project would be: developing a plan for creating the research & development unit for FAIE; strengthening the international and inter-sectoral network of the applicant organisation as well as the partner organisations; upgrading the knowledge base for the Polish NGOs working in the field of adult education; acquitting by FAIEs adult learning professionals skills of using the SDDM methodology fitted for problems identification and developing solutions, as well as obtaining certificates entitling to use this method in Poland. Also the social competences, language and intercultural competences of the learning mobilities participants will be upgraded. The projects sustainability, the long-term benefits important for all the project partners and other stakeholders involved would be: increasing capacity for building partnerships; building recognisability of participating organisations; increasing their potential to influence in the local environments; comparing the adult learning models, and last but not least – developing recommendations for the adult learning sector development to be applied in the European Union’s countries.
