The most important project objectives were to create ecological and cultural centres on both sides of the border and to raise the environmental awareness of the local population. Apart from this, it also focused on developing a digital map of the 500 m-wide belt from Strehovec to Sriszenpoter to assess and conceptualise its current condition, as well as exchange knowledge and examples of good practices between the regions´ partners. Achievements: One of the project results was the purchase and renovation of the Strehovci community centre, which was then turned into an ecological and cultural centre. The facility was equipped with refurbished offices to be used by counselling services in the field of general environment, nature and agriculture protection. Other results were workshops on the use of the willow twig, an agrarian and ecological camp and the accompanying permanent exhibition, ten lectures on environmental awareness held at different venues and brochures on project objectives and results.
