The project is focused on promoting environmental friendly land exploitation in the cross-border area - mainly through awareness campaigns targeting the farmers/land owners, authorities, NGOs and citizens. The partners prepared an inventory of the land pollution factors in the area, the regulations in force, the responsible bodies and the measures to be taken for limiting land pollution in the eligible area. The best practices for agricultural land exploitation, in accordance also with EU environmental legislation, was identified and presented to the farmers/land owners during 4 training sessions. A series of 4 seminars have been organized with NGOs, public authorities and farmers/land owners in order to present them the existing situation and discuss methods of improvement of land exploitation. Promotional materials were produced and distributed and a dedicated website was created. Also public events have been organized on the occasion of Earth Day. The results are related to exchanges of information and promotion of best practices. The target groups are the land owners, the local authorities and NGOs as well as the staff of partners, as well as entire population of the project area.
