Type of project: Short-term EVS Title: Eco style - be prepared Partners: ASSOCIATION TAMBOUR BATTANT (France), ASSOCIATION GEORGIAN YOUTH FOR EUROPE (Georgia) Venue: Pona,Kakheti- Rustavi,Georgia Dates: 1st July - 1st August 2014 Number of participants: 5 young people Profile of participants: young people with fewer opportunities (18 - 25 years old) Summary and context of the project: The project’s mission is to promote initiatives and non-formal education activities for young people and children from Rustavi city. The project will increase the opportunities for youth to realize themselves in physical and intellectual field as well as actively participate in the development and implementation of local projects. The project will take place in Rustavi where is based host organisation, also half of the project volunteers will spend in Kakheti Region, where GYE is developing –Youth Eco Village-Pona. The main aims of the project are: 1) Development of civil society; 2) International development cooperation; 3) Raise awareness about active European Citizenship among youth; 4) Foster Intercultural Dialogue; 5) Development of entrepreneurship competences among youth; Project will give the volunteers and local Georgian youth a possibility to exchange their experience, their views on numerous issues, thus breaking down any stereotypes, eliminating prejudices and experiencing similarities and differences between different European countries.
