Our vocational school willing to satisfy the “Lycée des métiers” label wanted to propose an international openness. The setting of a first work group made it possible for students to have a mobility experience for four weeks in Seville during the 2015-2016 schoolyear. Different objectives were aimed at: 1/ for the students: -Give the opportunity to each student to develop their autonomy Discover a different professional world other than the French one Understand and increase the language skills, using total immersion. Share knowledge using booklets Get a formal assessment with mobility Europass, Europro and taking the optional Mobility exams 2/for the teachers -strengthen partnership -Start an observation of different teaching methods -Develop new partnership During these four weeks, 10 students aged from 17 to 20, with no experience abroad, and coming from rural social background, had their work placements in different companies in Seville. Beforehand, preparatory activities were organised: foreign language role playing, professional vocabulary, culture and everyday life in Spain, employment law, European citizenship. Considering the language difficulties, Spanish lessons were organized during 3 out 4 weeks in Seville. These classes were organised by the organisation responsible for the accommodation. Following these work placements, brochures entitled “Seville en poche” were realised by the students in order to inform the next applicants. Each student took down notes about each task realised in the company as well as each activity realised with the host family. The students were also accompanied by both Mrs Myriam Aspe Gonzalez from OSCUS high school and the managers of the Sign Up company as well as the teachers who went to Seville at the beginning and end of the mobility period. Out of 10 applicants, 8 passed their Europro tests. Each one took the optional mobility test. Each one got a mark equal or above the pass mark. The average mark is 12.7/20 for the ten students. Their bi-annual average mark also greatly increased. Thanks to this first experience, We offered the possibility for other students to go to similar work placements ( thanks to the high quality of the contact with the people there) We transmitted and communicated information to families, schools from Fougères and its area. (Creation and distribution of leaflets) Got people from other specialities interested in developing work placements abroad .This will enable other mobility experience for the next two years. As far as teaching and practice exchange The first observation and exchanges realised by the teachers led to the will of creating new mobility 2 week period for the teachers. These mobility experiences will be realised between 2016 and 2018 and will enable an interdisciplinary analysis. The advantage is the creation of a long term partnership with the Sign Up Company in order to work together in future cooperation. All the positive aspects from this experience, combined with a few obligations made us stronger to realise new objectives for the next two years.
