Vocational school located in Haute-Savoie, we opened a European section in English for our beauticians. We are partner with many institutes and spas in the area, seeking estheticians able to communicate with their foreign customers, they are many during the touristic seasons. Our first objective is to adapt the skills of our students at the request of professionals by providing an additional and specific language training and opening up to other cultures.Five students and 3 teachers will be involved in this project. Students are in terminal bac pro aesthetics. They followed up for 2 years the English European section allowing them a fluent communication in English and have acquired a CAP level in beautician techniques. They will be immersed four weeks in a Scottish beauty salon to welcome clients, perform cares, sell products or set appointments.Participating teachers are teachers involved in the European section of our high school: two teachers in aesthetic techniques, which are certified English-DNL and an English teacher. They realize an observational internship and an exchange of practices with aesthetic teachers in our partner college.A steering committee was formed to prepare the draft carefully:- Departure preparation, language preparation included,- Relations with host companies, and drafting conventions- Creation of a booklet outlining the objectives of the course for students, engagement letter specifying the objectives of mobility for teachers.- Accompaniment by a referent teacher from our partner institution during the mobility, appointment of a referent in France for each participating student- Presentation and assessment of a stock return of mobility.We expect that these girls will find more easily a job after their mobilities. But this project is also a part of a larger project; we hope to create a wider emulation within our institution and to send also students from our commercial or graphics sections to enhance their competence and attractiveness in the labor market.The mobility of adults will aim to enhance their skills in english langage and to improve and adapt their aesthetic practice. We hope to build momentum in our business and expand mobility for teachers of all our courses. The quality of education provided will inevitably increase.At medium to long term, we hope to improve the quality of our education and develop the reputation of our institution at local and regional level, and be more attractive to families and students.
