E-Tourism: διαδικτυακές συναλλαγές στον τουρισμό

The new information and communication technologies (ICTs) radically changed much of our economic and social life, and the internet has become an ideal environment for business and professional activities, with particular interest for the tourism sector. Exploiting them is extremely important, as the internationalization of the activities of a tourist enterprise can become easier and cheaper to create virtual offices and shop windows via web. The very tourist distribution systems have changed dramatically in recent years, which is reflected not only in the traditional distribution channels, such as suppliers of tourism and tour operators, but also to their own tourist destinations and tourism policy formulation. The project is titled: «E-Tourism: online transactions in tourism" and will involve 25 students attending the 2nd EPAL of Kalamata in IT sectors, economy - management and tourism, accompanied by two teachers. Mobility will take place in Portugal for a period of fifteen (15) days and the host institution will be the AIAM. The implementation needs of this project, both students and the labor market, are identified:• understand the basic knowledge related to the equipment, technologies and IT applications that are useful for developing a tourist business,• become familiar with the basic concepts related to e-Business,• be able to plan and set prices in the presence of their business on the Internet by setting up web accounts and social media, the development of electronic collaboration with other companies and the provision of new services over the Internet,• Exercise in creating simple websites to better understand the possibilities and the difficulties of this object.The participation of students in the project is expected to contribute to achieving the following objectives:• Awareness of the effects of internet use across the range of the tourism industry - Web 2.0,• Knowledge of the impact of electronic commerce on tourism - Strategic infrastructure and security,• Implementation of the Electronic Marketing in Tourism & M-Tourism,• Introduction of ICTs in the aviation industry,• Understanding of the strategic implications of e-tourism for the consumer of the future,• Knowledge of the impact of e-tourism destinations and the public sector,• Update for Travel 2.0 and the exploration of new technologies,• Awareness of the impact of social networks in tourist sites.This program is expected to provide:1. Basic knowledge about new technologies and the Internet that could exploit tourism businesses,2. Introductory knowledge in e-business,3. Design skills of the presence and operation of a tourism business on the Internet,4. Basic web application development skills,5. Ability to create website for tourism enterprises,6. Ability to open an account and creating pages on social media (facebook, twitter, youtube, etc.),7. Development of electronic collaboration with other companies and provision of new services over the Internet. This program has an absolutely practical nature since in each module, in addition to basic theory, particular emphasis on practical activities is given.
