e-Simulation Environment for training on Interaction with Children

The objective of the eSIMTRA project is to produce web-based interactive simulation environment, grounded on the achievements in pedagogy and psycho-pedagogy and cutting edge ICT. It is intended to provide opportunities for training on practical handling of communication problems in situations of children-children or children-adult interaction with the view of avoiding conflicts and aggression and creation of supportive environment for development of the children’s interpersonal skills.The project aims to provide users (in-service teachers, teacher-trainees, trainers, youth leaders, non-pedagogic staff, parents) with powerful tool for self-training and guided interactive training and with adequate programs addressed to users with or without pedagogic background.The project outputs – Interactive Simulation Environment and Training Course Programs – will be available in the following languages: BG, SE, IT, FR, LV, PL and EN.The foremost aim of the project is to support violence prevention and reducing the level of misconduct and aggression at school and out of school environment.The project outputs are addressed at pedagogy students in training and in-service pre-school and primary teachers, non-pedagogic school staff, trainers and educators (e.g. in sports and in arts) who work in children centres and other institutions that provide informal education for children in pre-school and in early school age. The simulation platform will be suitable also for parents and youth leaders who are interested in the topics of the violence prevention and behavioral dynamics in youngsters groups. The simulation environment will deliver knowledge and will form particular competencies providing the target groups’ users with the necessary skills not only to identify correctly different types of child behavior in situations of conflict and miscommunication, but also to determine and practice proper reaction and mediating behavior for positive solution of problematic situations.
