E-learning Environment for Fair Trade Entrepreneurs
Date du début: 1 janv. 2014,

The project aims to provide EU and national VET systems with an integrated learning path to train fair trade operators (as social entrepreneurs) in a multi-stakeholders environment and create awareness on Local Social and Solidarity Economy at all levels, as a potential space of innovation for intelligent, inclusive and sustainable self- employment. The project has six clear objectives: 1. To map existing models of Social Entrepreneurship development as initial and continuous VET in educational and professional environments, with a specific reference to Fair Trade Organisations, that have proven to embed change and innovation; 2. To develop a new learning environment and tool kit for Fair Trade Operators (new and existent ones) that integrates entrepreneurship with social impact and change and enhances innovation and community participation; 3. To test and validate the approach in: real-life formal education context in five European countries, involving a minimum of 25 schools in five EU countries and 2 Universities in FI and UK; 4. To validate the approach in FTOs contexts in five European countries, involving a minimum of 10 FTOs in five EU countries;5. To promote, disseminate and communicate the project outputs and results and the process itself in international, European and national stakeholders using existing networks to encourage the multiplication of the approach; 6. To assess the impact at social and employment level of the new proposed approach. Consistent with the Transversal Programme priorities the consortium intends to create training tools and settings that are innovative in terms of pedagogical approaches and contents. Through the research and piloting phases it will be possible to identify emerging employment in the social enterprise sector and to help entrepreneurs and would-be entrepreneurs in developing skills for analysis and market research for self-investment and business management.
