E-CROBATICS4
Date du début: 1 sept. 2015, Date de fin: 30 avr. 2017 PROJET  TERMINÉ

‘E-crobatics4” is an EVS-project funded under ERASMUS+. A volunteer works for a longer period as an assistent-teacher in Circusschool Circolito, in Mechelen, Belgium. Circolito hosted similar projects already, but due to the big input by the volunteer, every project is new and innovative. E-CROBATICS stands for "Europe - Creating Respectfull Openness By Assisting Teachers In Circus Skills" One volunteer between 18 and 30 y.o. will be selected according to affinity with youth and circus. He or she will be part of the Circolito Team of (professional) teachers and (voluntary) assistent-teachers of Circolito. He/she will assist in the weekly classes, workshops and circus weeks, and will help with organising these activities. Apart from that, he/she chooses an own project that's in line with our (circus) pedagogics. For the volunteer it will be a very instructive experience that will expand his/her view in general, and his/her view on teaching circus particularly. He/she will be emerged in a strange culture and new language. He/she will learn to adapt to a new situation, without loosing the own identity. For Circolito it's the next step in 'internationalising' our organisation. We want our participants to view, feel and experience that our world is bigger than the community they know. Be meeting (assistent-) teachers that speak another language and have other habits, their view on the world will expand. And we hope they start thinking of going abroad as well. The experiences during the exchange will benefit to the organisation of the volunteer when he/she returns, but also our own organisation. The exchange of ideas, experiences and methods will trigger a reflection process in both directions. Seing ens understanding differences ans similarities between people, co-operating with people with a different background, language, culture and habits, and exchanging methods and experiences will improve the acceptance and understanding of people from other cultures and benefit the solidarity towards them.
