TERMINÉ
As our school is located in a small town, it is affected by the cultural values of the town. The religious, moral, and cultural values block innovative and creative thinking. Moreover, the low readiness level of students limits the creative thinking. Girls are excluded from the society because of the male-dominant society. As school-family partnership is not succeeded sufficiently, it becomes harder to direct students to creative and imaginative thinking.
Our purpose is to develop the democratic factors, to ensure the personal development, and to educate students as sophisticated individuals. That is why; we use the experiential and individual learning as the base of education.
In order to educate students in parallel with this purpose, students are to use their imaginations via activities. The activities included in the European Development Plan will definitely contribute to our school project in the fields of equal opportunity in education and creative and innovative thinking ability.
As an institution, our plan about the European Mobility and Collaboration activities is as the following:
• Informing the staff about the Erasmus+ mobility
• Discussing the conditions of the school
• Choosing the attendants suitable to the mobility
• Determining the needs of the school
• Developing a project
• Informing the students, teachers, and families about the purpose of the project
• Ensuring to achieve the goal
The project will pave the way for self-fulfillment of both the students and the residents. Moreover, the attendants will have a chance to improve their professional and cognitive abilities.
At the starting point, the attendants are informed about the responsibilities, requirements, purposes, and gains of the project, and the geographical, cultural, and socio-economic factors of the country to be travelled in case the project is accepted. The attendants will improve English via the online courses provided by the National Agency.
After the mobility, it is important to disseminate the information about the process and the outcome of the project so as to realize the aims. As first step, we will organize conferences in order for students, teachers, and families to gain innovative and creative thinking ability. To develop cognitive abilities, we will organize “Chess Tournament” among all age groups. What is more, we will organize activities such as “Natural Trekking”, “Volleyball”, “Basketball”, and “Badminton” as part of “Sport Together with Family”. As our school is a technical high school, we will enable students to make tangrams in order to adapt their creativity to their fields.
