During the project 10 participants and two groupleaders from The Czech Republic’s and Estonia’s youth dramaclubs, will be actively involved in the process of youth collaboration. The aim of the project is to promote intercultural learning and with that raise awareness and tolerance about other countries. Furthermore the youngsters will learn how to support and keep alive the culture of smaller communties. Participants will gain appreciation and start to disseminate their own culture. Youth will see the value and also start to respect the other Eastern Bloc countries. The participating youngsters will have the opportunity to learn and share several drama strategies. The activities during the exchange are all connected to achieving our set objectives. Participants will not only prepare introduction and present their own countries, but also learn about another culture. The intercultural learning will be carried out through several drama techniques, including improvisation, hospital-clowning, forum-theatre, story-telling and street-theatre. Every day the group will focus on one of the topics in two sessions. Each morning they will learn about it and in the afternoon apply the gained knowledge in a practical way. For developing ideas the instructors will encourage youngsters to use provided non-formal learning methods like brainstorming, role-play and discussion. Brainstorming will be used in multiple actions, since this method is a great tool for generating innovative concepts. Discussion is used for finding the best solution for current issue, because the method allows an instructor to lead the conversation and at the same time encourage youngsters to express their opinion. Every day after the main activities start the part of the exchange that is entirely focused on sharing culture and building international network. Throughout the week the participants will introduce each other their folk dances, national dishes, movies, music and their chosen specialties. Besides gaining knowledge about culture, the participants will as well learn how to present and educate others in an informal way. With carrying out the project we envisage the participants to gain knowledge about their own small culture and also learn about another culture. With understanding another nation they will be able to accept the differences and build firmer relationships. After exploring the smaller community in the town of Nachod, the participants will get the confidence and interest to discover the parts of the country that are out of the main touristic area. During the youth exchange there will be made a video of all the workshops and cultural evenings. Participants will have an opportunity to give their opinion about the event and offered learning methods. Furthermore they will share gathered ideas for future cooperation and form an overview. The movie will be put together in collaboration between group leaders and youngsters. The youth will be encouraged to disseminate the movie in social networks such as Facebook, Youtube and Twitter. After the youth exchange a great impact on the participants will be due to the used learning methods and drama techniques. Each of them is designed to help a young person in their personal development. For example role-plays will allow you to act as another person and therefore see the situation through their eyes. Experiencing different points of view will lead to a tolerant multicultural communication. Furthermore this will have a positive effect on the co-operation between the European countries.
