Young students of Technical Secondary School are a specific group of customers who are not interested in exercises from the textbook but a holistic approach is necessary in their education. Project Touch of Nature; involved discovery of nature, caring for the environment , using of recycled materials, learning about new technologies, organic fuels. Students in the applying institution are educated in industrial fields such as construction and engineering , as well as in post-industrial fields such as graphic and advertising. New directions of education are associated with the restructurization of Zabrze city that has a post-industrial tourism and cares for the environment . The project aimed to provide appropriate training methods in all types of schools in relation to environmental protection, the use of secondary raw materials , processing and sorting. The project aimed to educate participants of the project in a foreign language training in the construction and using of eco-friendly materials and eco- fuel vehicles , which are important components in the protection of the environment . Awareness and ecological sensitivity are important as well in teaching students. Graphic processes play an increasingly important role in the surrounding world , therefore the design of equipment related to the ecology were also the essence of the project. Promoting a healthy lifestyle and taking care of the environment was an important element of the project in which the institution is involved. The project consisted of lectures, workshops, field trips, observations, hands-on learning, discussions, tasks and physical activities, and as well social activities and exchange. All build up to make a maximal gain for the participants. Each day of the seminar was divided in two parts, morning session and afternoon session. Furthermore each day was dedicated to a certain topic or field. The morning session consisted of indoors lectures, tasks and discussions with overview of theories, best practices, examples of outdoor educati on and its field. The afternoon session consisted of outdoor workshops, hands-on learning, observations and activities, where we tried and experience the learning gained from the morning session, creating a comprehensive understanding and ability to achieve the tools. Objectives: The objectives of the seminar were: • To provide creative and inspiring ways to deal with environmental topics. • To exchange practices and learn new ways of using the outdoor environment in educati on. • To introduce programs that connect pupils to nature through direct experience. • To harvest the methods and practi ce that build capacity of care for nature. • To learn from practitioners and experts variety of tangible programs. • To spend ti me under the open sky for explorati on and discover. • To practice ways of sensitive approach to the physical.
