The aim of the project is to improve learning outcomes of our students who will be able to participate in a work placement in a European country. In this project there is a group of 20 students of Post-secondary School of Social Work in Skarżysko-Kamienna including 10 students of Pharmacy Technician and 10 students of Care Assistant Technician. All of the students are adults. The project involves implementing separate actions for each job in which students are educated. For students of Pharmacy Technician the project involves improving the skills of distribution of medicines and producing prescription drugs (especially in sterile conditions) in pharmacies and pharmaceutical lab. Also the students will learn the production process of drugs, vaccines and cosmetics in factories during their placement. The participants will know the work of some pharmacy wholesales. For students of Care Assistant Technician the project involves improving the skills in Care Centers or Welfare Centers where they will able to verify their skills. The participants will know how the institutions work. They will learn how to use the equipment in the institutions (multifunctional beds, walkers, etc.). Additionally, the students will visit a German school that has similar fields of study. For the two groups will be an opportunity for improving their language skills and knowing German culture and history. The German Partner of the Project will be WBS Training AG – training institution that has experience in implementing EU projects. It cooperated with our school in last LdV programme ’Lifelong Learning’. Work placements will last two weeks and they will take place in Dresden. Before work placements in Germany the participants will take part in language, culture, pedagogical activities. Together with the students will be two teachers including one German teacher. The project aims to promote cooperation between the German partner and the post-secondary school from the Swietokrzyskie Voivodeship. It will contribute to the mobility of students. It is important when Poland is in the European Union. The project involves the promotion of vocational training in our region. The project will contribute transfer of experience from German to Poland. Additional aims of the project are: acquisition of ability of working in the team and increasing cooperation between partners.
