PROJET
TERMINÉ
The project concentrates on up-skilling and preparing the students for the independent adult life. The aims of the project are gaining personal and professional skills, as well as learning foreign language and culture. These are coherent with the assumptions of the Erasmus+ program.
It is supposed to raise the level of key competences and skills adjusted to the labour market needs, as well as improve language skills, promote the linguistic and cultural diversity and broaden the dimension to training and education.
The participants of the project are students of vocational and technical school in the following specializations: auto mechanic, construction technician, hairdresser, trade technician, mechanic, electrician and electronic technician.
After the end of recruitment process wide-ranging preparatory classes are going to start. After its completion participants will go abroad on 4 week internships. The project is going to take 2 years. In 2014/2015 one group will go to Italy and the other one to Portugal. Each of them will number 16 interns and 2 tutors. Identical groups will take part in the internship program in the following year 2015/2016. Summing up the total number of internships is 64: 32 in Italy and 32 in Portugal. All potential participants learn English at school. While undertaking practical placement, they will be the students of the second, third and fourth class, which means that they will reach an advanced stage of vocational training.
While realizing the project we will apply the methodology developed up to now. It is based on the clear division of tasks and responsibilities between employees and on the rule of constant supervision of the director over all project activities. The documentation will be compiled from the initial stage of the project (drawing up the fundamental principles) until the last one, which includes dissemination process and administrative closure of the project. Each project team member will have the scope of duties clearly specified.
The following hard results are predicted:
- completing the school vocational placement
- realizing the cultural preparation, which allows the participants to get to know visited countries as well as pedagogical preparation, aiming at teaching them how to cope with difficult situations under pressure and those caused by the unknown environment, insufficient level of language competences etc.
- completing the language course (Italian/ Portugal)
- awarding the Europass Mobility documents
- awarding the certificates confirming the completion of the language course and acquisition of new language abilities
- awarding the certificates, confirming the participation in the cultural and pedagogical preparation classes at school, it will include the description of realized classes
- awarding the certificates, issued by the receiving institution, confirming the completion of the internship program
Soft results:
- acquisition and development of qualifications, stronger position of the participants on the labor market and better opportunities to find a job, meeting students’ expectations
- improving language qualifications
- acquiring teamwork skills
- acquiring skills in using ICT
- getting to know the culture and customs of the receiving country
- higher motivation for self-study
- raising the students professional and personal aspirations
- developing intercultural skills (openness, tolerance, acceptance)
- increasing the level of dutifulness and self-discipline
- developed networking abilities
- higher recognition of the school
Material results of the project:
- photo gallery and films, created by the participants
- presentations summing up the project
- materials from the evaluation process
After come back to school, the interns will share their observations, knowledge and skills with other students. Institutions where interns will work in the future, will become competitive on the market thanks to the staff, educated in line with the European standards, flexible and able to adapt to the constantly changing needs of the European labor market.
This way, indirectly, the interns will support and strengthen their employers’ market position.
Thanks to the realization of the project, the school will gain experience in international cooperation and strengthen its recognition, which should result in more efficient recruitment process.
The partners of the project will broaden their knowledge and develop skills, needed while acting at the international level. The school’s representatives will get to know people brought up in the different culture, which should stimulate their sensitivity for intercultural dialogue issues, customs diversity and diverse code of conduct in the European countries.
