Doświadczenie międzynarodowe w podnoszeniu kompetencji zawodowych hotelarzy
Date du début: 1 sept. 2014, Date de fin: 31 août 2016 PROJET  TERMINÉ

32 students from the hospitality courses in Technikum Ekonomiczne ZSE im. A. i J. Vetterów in Lublin took part in the project. The participants underwent a four-week- long internship in the luxurious hotels located in France, Germany and Spain (Majorca). The hotels in which the internship was held, have been in a long-time cooperation with our partner hospitality schools in terms of the internships. They are characterised by high level of professionalism, good preparation for the patronage over trainees, employment of the most recent labor standards with use of modern techniques. The main aim of the project was to gain international experience and also to gain professional competences regarding the service of hotel guests coming from different cultural environments and different linguistic regions. The participants got to know the organization of work in the hotels abroad, they also learnt how to operate the equipment used in modern hospitality. Practice of a foreign professional language was a very important aspect, particularly among hospitality related occupations. Occurring changes in the hospitality industry, progressive specialization of the hotels and development of new branches of hospitality provoke changes in requirements, which the future employees will have to face, therefore forcing the school to adjust their curriculum to demands and expectations of the labor market. The aim of the project was to gain adequate skills regarding the service of an international guest with respect to the cultural differences. The hotels, in which the participants of the project underwent the internships, are located in unusually tourist-attractive places. The tourists who are staying on a site come from a number of cultural-linguistic regions, which guaranteed the participants adequate conditions to learn the scheduled skills. The participation in the project positively affected self-esteem of its participants. It enabled them to learn new skills which may be interesting for the future employees, and could also facilitate the process of job application, breaking with the long term phenomenon of unemployment in their domestic environment. Thanks to the project, the students realized that the idea of mobility was attainable, moreover knowledge, experience and new acquaintances opened new horizons for them. This project had an impact on a picture of the school amongst the students, parents, future school candidates and employers, as a school for which the main aim is to create the conditions for gaining the highest possible education and excellent circumstances to undergo a practical part of the training. Cooperation with the employers on the project created strong bonds between the school and the employers' environment and gave the employers actual influence on educating future personnel. Such cooperation also affected the image of the hotels as the institutions that actively engage in integration with their environment. The current project was a continuation of the previous 'internships' project, and its completion was complementary to the previous one. In terms of being a part of the European Union, the preparation of a well-educated personnel is immensely valuable in the local labor market. What is more, completion of the internship and attainment of new skills or the fact of having an international experience made finding employment and raising the standards levels of the local hospitality services much easier for our students. The project was held in two rounds: I round: the internships for 3 groups: Montpellier (France) – 6 participants, Nimes (France) – 6 participants, Dresden (Germany) – 5 participants Date of realization: 11/05/2015-05/06/2015 II round: the internships for 2 groups: Palmanova (Majorca) – 5 participants, Cala Millor (Majorca) – 10 participants Date of realization: 07/09/2015-02/10/2015
