The accomplishment of the project ‘ Professional improvement of the teachers in ZSS40 in order to increase the attractiveness of teaching‘ has got on purpose arising level of knowledge and professional competences of 9 teachers including the headmaster and 8 once who teach different subjects. All the teachers are members of the school staff and belong to primary or junior-high school which both are included in Unit school. Unit school number 40 is the school which is focused on education of mentally disabled children from light to moderate range degree of intellectual disability. Since three years our school has been dealing with not only special needs children and teenagers but also whose suffer from autism. According to the concept of work Unit school 40 in 2013 – 2016 our school implemented the idea of teachers ‘and students’ development taking under consideration basic curriculum and society rules. The concept has enabled significant professional development and contributes to increasing both their level of knowledge and competences as well as let them gain new experiences. These are in practice directly translated to the meaningful improvement in quality of education system which is applied to individual possibilities of each student. Additional advantage of the project presumed the improvement of English language skills of teachers by taking part in particular language courses, so that they could remain being in touch with other foreign participants of Erasmus+ project. Moreover, the growth of languages skills let teachers speak English more fluently and read English advanced professional literature to solve the problems they came up and gained knowledge to solve the case of autism and other mental disabilities. The advantage of this project was also the idea of pro – European approach in education system, young generation upbringing and the attitude of tolerance, which our school manifest. During the period of the project 9 teachers attended 10 different courses in reference with their requirements, competences as well as specific character of work. Due to the concept of work and the fact that permission was issued by the local authorities of Zabrze city, in 2013 – 2016 Unit school formed new classes for autistic students with average intellectual potential. The main goal of established teachers’ courses was to acquire new competences and skills to work with autistic children. That was why teachers were going to attend course in reference with their interests in autism, classes in methods of working with mentally disabled and language courses. All, nine, teachers took part in “tailor-made course” led by York Associates. York Associates has over 30 years' experience in organizing teacher development courses for European Ministries of Education, teacher-training institutes and schools and has a well-founded reputation for providing quality courses. School pedagogist and school psychologist found out about Reducing Early School Leaving. Teachers who were focused on Early Childhood Education exchanged experiences and gained knowledge about children who were in their first stage of life and school development. Music, Art and ITC teachers took part in course to enrich their professional skills and methods of teaching. English teachers were to bound to participate in the course which let them teach more efficiently whose, who have difficulties in learning. Headmaster attended to The Course Designed For Headmasters Of Primary Schools to follow by the contemporary ways of school development all around the world and methods for effective management of the school institution. Two teachers took part in course "Inclusive Teaching and Special Educational Needs" in Bath. Furthermore, the project was aimed at participating in variety of meetings to share opinions and knowledge gained during our mobility. Finally, 12 teachers from ZSS nb 40 were involved in this project.
