The idea of the youth exchange in case of the projekt "Dorf der Jugend" ("Village of the Youth") is based on different rears, the main and important background was the perception that the youth culture in Sofia, the capital city of Bulgaria with 1,2 millions population doesn´t have the opportunity or the chance to use free Skateboard and BMX parks or spots. This lack was the important fact for the idea to arrange an international workcamp together with the local skateboard and BMX scene. We will organice some workshops for the young people to learn how to build some obstacles for the skatepark or how to organice a concert or design a flyer. The workshops are often a kind of motivationeducation, but these are very important for the youth so that they can learn that is important to organice something for their leisure time is more important as to consume something and pay for. From the social work point of view is it important too, to do something in this part of youth work to bring the youth to an autonomy way of thinking, so that they can form and work for the society in, for example, 20 years. The important local background is to establish a Free-using-park, like a youth-playground, in the boondocks/province of saxony. The evolution potential of these area is strong enough to guarentee sustainable development. This motives are following the target to helph the young people to find the way to their own autonomy in thinking and practically, to had a free evolution in their own environment. This free development of the individual young people are a central target in the youth work. One of the big problems is, that social youth work in nations like bulgaria are not the same, and don´t had this deepness like in other european countries. So i think that projects like this had a big sustainable development and can helph to install a strukture of social youth work in countries with some differences and problems. The direkt youth exchange are prepared for around 40 people out of Germany, Bulgaria, Spain and Italy. The workshops based in mechanic, organisation and creative section should to be touched all the areas they are important to free up space in cooperation with institutions like the city government or the region government. If you beef up the self-initiative you had the chance to bring the young people to a way with responsibility for their own development and realize that they have responsibility. The eight days in the frame of the project "Dorf der Jugend" (Village of the youth) cooperate with some other local projects, so one of the aim is to gain youthcultural credence in civil society. This credence and the responsibility for the common good, develop in the frame of these youthcultural projects solidarity for the whole society and the areas the young people use. And so we can bring the young people together with the civil (normal) society to start a process of learning from each other. The preparations for the youth exchange are going started together with the young people they use the area in wich we will work and do the camp. The idea with a contest for Skateboard/BMX/Inliner and a concert was an idea from the young local people. The mainplayers here are in the age between 16-25 years and in the other countries they are between 18-27. The average age of the young people here are 18 years.
