TERMINÉ
The project realizes the Erasmus priorities and objectives. The project’s objective is to improve and increase the students’ practical skills in the scope of the professions of a technician electrician and an art technician. Another objective is to enhance the skills of teachers teaching art courses. Increasing student mobility aims at improving their prospective attractiveness on the labor market as well as improving their English language skills (also professional language skills). It also aims at their personal growth through developing the habit of continuous in-service training, acquiring new competencies, enhancing self-confidence, getting to know the rules of work organization, planning further professional development, getting to know the culture and customs of partner countries. The proj. is to develop “the habit of working” in the students and enables them to get more independence and self-reliance. Another crucial thing is emotional development: coping with stress, reducing prejudice, enhancing motivation as well as increasing key competencies: team work, project work, self-reliance, responsibility, creativity, assertiveness and the English language abilities within the scope of technical terminology. The training courses will help those, who are at the beginning of their careers to get competitive advantage on the labor market. A well-educated art technician or electrician will contribute to our national economy as its human and intellectual capital. Learning through practice is a way of increasing personal potential as well as developing professional identity, which in turn strengthens the participants’ self-esteem.
This is the mobility project of 7 groups of students (10 students in each group) and of 6 teachers. The participants are 40 art technicians from the Art School and 30 technicians –electricians from the Technical School and Vocational Secondary School. Main operations take place in Spain for the period of 2 weeks for the students and 1 week for the Art School teachers. The training courses will be scheduled from Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday have the cultural agenda. The training courses will be organized in cooperation with the Spanish host Europroyectos LdV in Grenada and Cordoba. Art technicians and Art School teachers will learn innovative techniques in their profession. The opportunity to become familiar with the most important works of art of southern Spain will enable the participants to get to know the Andalusian culture and monuments. The direct contact with a Spanish artist and his works will undoubtedly turn into an inspiring experience. A technician-electrician will develop his practical skills within the scope of designing, installing, repairing and maintaining supply networks with the added value of working in the historic buildings. Other outcomes include the participation in the project of the disabled as well as of people in difficult socio-economic conditions; higher qualifications (FNT, Europroyectos or Europass Mobility certificate), new employment perspectives both in Poland and in EU, getting to know vocational education standards and the practical solutions applied in Spanish companies and institutions; increasing awareness of further education, enhancing professional passion; increasing cross-cultural awareness and social skills, personal development and self-confidence.
The emphasis is on meeting learning needs and getting to know the innovative methods and strategies. A training course abroad will stimulate development of social and entrepreneurial skills. The contemporary youth is in need of developing the awareness of the value of work; of acting according to social rules; there is the need of emphasizing the value of interpersonal communication, foreign language knowledge. Active participation in the project will enable the participants to gain more awareness of the international environment. Another important objective is to teach the participants how to set and achieve the goals as well as enhance motivation in the pursuit of these goals. Apart from the students, there are also the Art School teachers whose participation in the project will increase and enhance their qualifications professionally, linguistically and culturally. Observing the learning and working practices in Spain as well as updating the knowledge of the innovative technologies applied in enterprises will help to increase the effectiveness of the process of teaching vocational subjects and adapting it to the requirements of the contemporary labor market. One important aim is to enhance teacher mobility and flexibility as well as to encourage innovative professional education through the exchange of experience and knowledge with Spanish teachers. The teacher training scheme will actualize their cognitive needs, which in turn will enrich their professional skills. Another potential outcome of the project is the correlation between education and business
