The school is an Anatolian High School which has more English lesson hours and more qualified in every aspects than the General High schools in Turkey. Inspite of being an Anatolian High School the school's student profile is not expected level the school takes their students by a general entrance exam but because of a being a new school its entrance points are low so student's success level is not high . Academically a great deal of students are not desired level . Their educational background is not bright.Their motivation and enthusiasm in the sessions are not good . The students are not aware of any idea of internationalisation and seeking the opportunities in different areas.The European Dimension and highlighting language level are not estimated for them. Their imaginations and study plans are not the same their peers in Europe. Only some of them win The University Entrance Exam but they mainly go to the unplanned branches there so they are in need of to be directed to Higher Education .
The school has qualified teachers and management staff but they sometimes feel themselves limited because their teaching methods and techniques become old-fashioned and insufficient. Most of the school teachers use technology in their classes but only technology is not enough for effective learning. Although the target group who are nine experienced teachers and management staff is enthusiastic about their branches , they could not reach the visible results for their pupils.Hereby to find a solution is vital for the school's total wellness. Erasmus+ European Projects will serve a chance for breaking these vicious circle .
The School's project's aim stemmed from the idea of changing useless methods and techniques to the innovative and practical methods and techniques by European Dimension via Erasmus+ Mobilities. The school will also give priority to second language learning for internationalisation. With this project the school believes that they will raise the quality of itself. In the school we cannot change the curriculum and national legislation. As teachers we cannot change the pupil's social and economical profiles, so the target group decided to change their approaches and visions to contribute to the on-going education. The target group believes that if the teachers are qualified, the students will be qualified too.
The target group chose to attend some courses in different countries. By the help of these courses the target group wants to broaden their knowledge that matches The European Level Of Education and to enlarge teaching and learning techniques . Nine of the school staff who are both linguistic and science teachers and also the management staff are chosen to this project just because the school intends to ensure total recovery of quality on education they are serving. In the target group there are three management staff who are very open-minded and very experienced ,two of them are science teachers who are enthusiastic about the European Projects and very qualified, and two of them are English Language teachers who are always seeking new approaches and also gives importance alternating their methods and techniques in their fields. English teachers have previous experience of In-service Teacher Training Courses. Two of the target group members are a Geography teacher and a Religion and Moral teacher who are very keen on both learning second language and developing her career.The school forms a European Team which consists of two Management staff ,two English teachers who are responsible for running the project. The other participants of project support the project by implementing the aims of the project in a desired level.The European Team will make before and after questionnaire . In this questionnaire the school will get feed back on current state of the methods and tecniques of the education ,culturel awareness ,European dimension and language profile. After the mobility a questionnaire will be made about gained skills and point of views of Europe. The same questionnaire will be made with the students too.The results of the questionnaire will be evoluated by the team. After the school's contract approval the school will apply The Turkish National Mobility Center to get the Europass Mobility Certificate for the target group. It is also asked for the course provider.
The school expects from the target group that they will change their approaches to the current problems in education ,to present their lessons according to acquired methodologies ,to strenghten their beneficiaries' senses of European dimesion.It is expected that the target group will extent the beneficiaries' point of view for learning and using second language.If the teachers achieve education attainments, there will be visible outputs for the school education systems academically and this will touch people's lives.
With this project the whole school will share the new practices ,it will boost them to make new project.
