TERMINÉ
“From School to the European Labor Market” project addresses to a number of 45 students, TVET, in the area of Services, who are assigned as follows:
-15 students from the 10th grade in the field of Food Industry, students who will acquire the “banqueting organizer” qualification at the end of high-school.
- 15 students in the 11th grade with the “Gastronomy technician” qualification
-15 students in the 11th grade with the “Hairdresser/Stylist” qualification
We chose groups of 15 students because this is the number of students who form a group during the practical training. The project aims at initial vocational training in order to improve the students` practical skills for their future jobs. By developing these activities in the project their chances to adapt to a future job demands, their confidence in their knowledge and practical skills and in their ability to adapt to a real work environment in the EU will increase. The practical training will be held in Germany at the partner institution F+U Saxony in Chemnitz, with a 2 weeks training for each qualification. The project aims at:
-improving the labor market insertion for the 45 students by acquiring the necessary skills for absorption and maintenance on a modern, adaptive and dynamic labor work, and also adapted to modern requirements
- facilitating the transition from school to work by training and strengthening the fast and adaptive skills to the European labor market requirements
- ensuring the access to quality education in order to improve the students` practical skills/abilities for the “banqueting organizer”, “Gastronomy technician” and “Hairdresser/Stylist” qualifications by learning and practicing the serving activities, by cooking dishes from the national/international cuisine and by performing modern haircuts
- training the students for an EU lifestyle country for the education for the European citizenship and intercultural awareness
- improving the English and German linguistic skills.
The stages of the project will be those of implementation, ongoing mobility and of impact and dissemination.
During the implementation stage, organizational activities will take place; details related to students mobility will be established with the partner; the selection procedure will be started; the direct beneficiaries` linguistic, pedagogical and cultural training will take place; the practical and logistic arrangements of the mobilities will be made.
The practical training will take place/unfold at F+U Saxony, which will provide the students qualified staffs in the field of Food Industry and of Aesthetics and Hygiene of the human body. Every day, students will have to perform tasks according to the qualifications and modules selected for this project. The students` assessment will be done on the way by tutors and by supporting a sample in their specialty at the end of the project. On the portfolios and the individual assessment reports filled in by the staff from the partner unit, the Romanian teachers will grade the participating students, grades which will be written down in catalogues and will constitute the basis for the final grade for the modules: Dishes and Beverages Serving, National and International Cuisine, Haircuts. Monitoring the students` progress during the internship will be done by filling in the observation and assessment sheets both by the Romanian monitoring teachers and by the German team members involved in the practical training of the students. Accompanying teachers will also have the quality of mobility monitors.
The impact consists in:
- reducing the number of highschool students at risk of dropping out school as a consequence/result of increasing the attractiveness of the educational process by facilitating the European internship/practical training
- facilitating transition from the school lab to the work place
- facilitating finding a job after graduating from local/national or European high school
- improving communication with the trader operator for employment/hiring
- increasing the prestige of the institution, locally, due to the implementation and management of the European funded projects
- accomplishing the annual tuition plan.
At the end of the project, the following performance indicators will be achieved:
- developing an established organizational framework adapted to the identified needs of the target group, a framework able to allow further development activities of the project and to ensure their sustainability
- developing a monitoring plan which will offer real information about the financial situation of the project
- involving and training 45 students in the project
- developing a collaborative strategy with the host institution in order to further cloud partnerships
- making/editing 3 brochures with activities during the practical training, according to the qualifications involved in the project
- making 3 regional seminars on motivating graduates for national and international labor market insertion.
