The Cyprus Youth Council cooperation with relevant government agencies (Ministry of Education, Youth Board of Cyprus, etc) has undertaken since the beginning of the process of promoting the Structured Dialogue and the concept of participatory democracy among the youth of Cyprus. Additionally, a firm objective of the Council is to empower young people through the activation and information on rights and tools they have in their hands. Therefore this project aims to: a) update new process for the structured dialogue through direct participation, b) youth empowerment through information on their rights and tools they have in their hands c) to bring Youth and Policy Makers together to discuss the structured dialogue process and d) outcome number of recommendations to improve the process and empower young people at local and national level. As can be seen, both the principles and objectives of the Structured Dialogue directly associated with this project which will bring together young people and policy makers at the national level through consultation and diffusion of specialized results at national level. It is worth noting that the consultation will take place based on the guiding questions of the Trio Presidency of the EU Council (Italy, Latvia, Luxembourg) that will focus on the issue of empowerment of youth (Youth Empowerment). Furthermore through the direct participation of young will add additional questions that reflect the national situation. The main subject of this consultation is that the non-formal education can provide young people with appropriate skills and knowledge to help both employability opportunities and in their daily lives. Will develop themes such as volunteer at local and European level, also participation in seminars and workshops that utilize methods of non-formal learning. In addition, we invited competent bodies to inform the participants about the progress of the certification process and recognition of non-formal learning.
