DIJAKI PRAKTIKANTI V MEDNARODNIH VRTCIH
Date du début: 1 juin 2015, Date de fin: 31 mai 2016 PROJET  TERMINÉ

Aspiring to be a modern school, Veno Pilon secondary school is taking part in the Erasmus+ student and staff mobility programme entitled STUDENTS AS INTERNS IN INTERNATIONAL KINDERGARTENS. The aim is bringing out the potential, the talent of each individual as well as the social capital. It is an investment in knowledge, skills and competences that will serve students, the school and the society by contributing to personal growth as well as ensuring welfare and social inclusion in Europe and the world. The aims we pursued throughout the project were: - to encourage students to gain new, useful knowledge and professional skills, broaden their horizons with personal growth being the result; - to enable the professional development of the accompanying teachers, who will include the experience gained in the project into their work; - to improve the participants’ skills of communication in foreign languages (the working language in international kindergartens is English; however, toddlers from all over the world are taken care of in such kindergartens); - to provide a chance for networking on an international scale; develop the sense of European citizenship and identity. Thirty-six students and three accompanying teachers took part in the project. They stayed in three different locations - Budapest, Vienna, and Milan. The two-week internship in international kindergartens with English as the language of communication took place in the autumn of 2015. It included seventeen and eighteen year-old students. The students and their teachers stayed in an apartment house in Milan, in a pension house in Vienna, and in a youth hostel in Budapest. The students worked in selected educational institutions. Apart from doing the internship they learned about the hosting city, its characteristics and sights; they strengthened the team spirit and the bonds of multiculturalism. They also worked on their personal growth and enhanced their communication skills in English. They heightened their value of RESPECT. At our institution, internship abroad will become a model for the development of practical knowledge, skills and new partnerships. The results of the project are being shared with the following target groups: our pupils of the Pre-school programme, professionals working in educating these pupils, internship mentors in kindergartens across Slovenia, future students of the Pre-school programme, local, regional and state authorities, the media, and the general public. The dissemination of results contributed to a positive opinion of the public regarding the school and Erasmus+ projects. It encouraged more people to join EU programmes.
