This Project “DIGITAL SKILLS AND INNOVATIVE APPROACHES IN THE MANAGEMENT OF SMALL AND MIDIUM-SIZED BUSINESSES” is oriented towards the increase of the professional competence of young people who are initially gaining their education in the State High School of Finance And Management “Intellect”Pleven.This project will last for a year and the participants in it will be the F. And M. “Intellect”Pleven (applying organization) and FORTES Impresa Sociale SRLVicenza,Italy partner organization.At present in Bulgaria are needed well prepared managerial and executive specialists in the sphere of the small and medium-sizes businesses (SMBs) who have preparation and qualifications corresponding to the European standards.The transnational mobility is in agreement with the European directive for the development of small and medium-sized enterprises.In this context our present offer is oriented in direction of improvement of the quality of young people who share the European experience in the spheres of the Information technologies (IT) and management.Thus they will broaden and improve their professional competence and will apply them in their future activities.The aims of the current offer are in direct connection with the goals of the European programme “Erasmus+” and are oriented towards building stable partnership between education and business, encouraging the European values, support of the educational activities of the participants, for the enrichment of their knowledge and skills, boostering the quality, innovativeness and attractiveness of the professional education and training of young people, receiving more information about the prospective of the long life learning,distribution of good practices, improvement of the foreign language skills, the language diversity and the intercultural awareness.The specific goals of the project are related with the utilization of the social and economic potential of the information and communication technologies mainly by applying digital skills, learning more about the contemporary and innovative approaches for the development of SMBs, improving the English language skills in a definite professional sphere, enriching the cultural awareness of the participants for another European country–Italy in order to stimulate the active participation and development of European citizenship feeling and esteeming the competences gained during the education and training abroad. Within this project will be put into practice three-week training in leading Italian and international companies in Vicenza, Italy from the 30.03.2015 to the 20.04.2015. The target group consists of 30 students (aged 16-18) having initial vocational education at F. and M “Intellect”- Pleven and 3 teachers. Working as future managers the learners need to become familiar with the innovative European practices in the SMBs and to apply what they have learnt at school to practice. The activities envisaged expressed with the methodology for its implementation are: Preparation–includes preparation (spreading the information about the project), selection of the participants (procedure for the selection), drafting agreements between partners and participants, language, intercultural and pedagogical preparation of the participants before departure; Mobility–trans-border practice at Italian companies. Selection of suitable companies for the training, working programme, facilitators in the companies, support for the participants to overcome the culture shock and for their adaptation to the new social and professional environment; Announcing and sharing the learnt–evaluation of the activities (observation and tests), formal acknowledgement of the educational results (Europass certificate from the hosting organization, certificates from the employers and the applying institution), distribution of the results of the project (leaflets, brochures, presentations, articles in the local media and on the web-site of the school). As a result of the project activities we expect the learners to broaden their competence in the specialty for which they have initial vocational preparation, to improve their language and communicative skills in English, to master new innovative approaches in the management, to gain digital skills, which are the wave of the IT revolution and thus to booster the learners competitiveness in the labour market. The potential long-term benefits from the project are that the F. and M. ”Intellect” will master the quality of the professional education for its students, will help them to develop competences and skills that are needed at work, will broaden their experience in different aspects of the trans-border collaboration, will enrich the intercultural dialogue with Italy and will be given the opportunity to takepart in the democratic European life. FORTES, the partner organization, will be given the chance to enrich its experience in the realization of trans-border mobility projects with Bulgarian partners.
