Digital learning 1-1
Date du début: 1 juil. 2014, Date de fin: 30 juin 2015 PROJET  TERMINÉ

Strömbackaskolan is an upper secondary school with about 1400 students divided into five school units and fifteen programs. We are in the midst of a process to introduce one computer per student (1-1) from the autumn term 2014. The aim is to improve student achievement both in terms of ratings and in general, to build a modern school that educates students with future methods for the future society . Digital literacy is emphasized by the European Union as one of the future key skills. This is done in consonance with the national policy documents that also raise digital literacy as one of the most important general skills, an important component in building the foundation for lifelong learning . Changes in employment , new technology, globalization and environmental issues of complexity, placing new demands on people's knowledge and ways of working. Digital technology provides the ability to better seek knowledge, communicate, create, learn and influence in a world increasingly characterized by global thinking and action. To give young people the best opportunities to use digital technology 's full potential, requires increased knowledge of the teachers to teach, and to the leaders who will lead the learning in a digital school. This knowledge-building occurs, not only best on the home arena. We must interact with others to learn from their successes and failures. The overall objectives of the project is to raise the school's merit ratings / earnings, with a particular focus on raising boys' results and to reduce the gender achievement gap. It also aims to strengthen the general skills of the students. The digital learning as an operational target to achieve its main objectives. The idea is to raise students' motivation, increase the complexity of the tasks, facilitate understanding and context , making the students more involved in learning and improving their ability to influence society . An operational goal is to increase teachers' knowledge of Web 2.0 as a tool to achieve its overall objectives . To enhance the ability to achieve these goals, we apply for two different kind of mobilities . Firstly job shadowing where six key persons in ICT- issues at our school, as well as two principals, together with a host school in Italy exchange experiences on ICT in education. The second mobility focus on ICT training in the UK. Ten persons, key teachers plus one teacher from each school unit, is to be send to the BETT exhibition in London. All principals have this year had access to the training , which has been very important to our ongoing 1-1 bet. The more the school organisation can benefit from the knowledge imparted, the more useful it would be by the possibility spreading the knowledge within the organization through peer learning. The results we short-sighted especially want to see, and which the project may pave the way for, is teachers whom have developed their pedagogical repertoire , as with digital tools can take education one step further , which can motivate students and help them to be more involved in the development of society. Educators whom along with other educators , can open up for a joint peer learning within the organization as well as outside .
