The proposed mobility project concern the training of 15 teachers from the 1st Laboratory Centre of Giannitsa in the field of teaching students with special needs, in the ITC (International Training Center), in Prague. The participants are graduates of Higher Education, with various technical - vocational qualifications, corresponding to the sectors that work in school with teaching training. They teach technical - vocational courses in disparate parts, which in their composition include one , two or more students with special needs . They have never been trained in the education of students with special needs and therefore face severe difficulties when several lessons contain exercises difficult and dangerous for their safety. The main objectives are: - Broaden the professional horizon of participants and the acquisition of knowledge and skills in teaching students with special needs, - Upgrading and improving the profile of teachers in technical - vocational education, - Improving the effectiveness of teaching in technical vocational education, - The reduction of dropout in vocational schools, of students with special needs . Courses include mainly practical activities and additional, useful and constructive discussion on how to work with children with special needs to their own benefit and the other students benefit. Trainees will receive theoretical information they need to be able to deal with children with special needs effectively. They will broaden their theoretical knowledge about the many different types of disorders and response. They will have the opportunity to discuss different ways of teaching children with disabilities applying to different countries and systems (inclusion, integration and mainstreaming) and the advantages and disadvantages of these approaches . They will discuss and learn different methods suitable for children with special needs and will focus on how these children should be assessed. In addition, trainees will learn how to adapt existing tasks and activities in a manner suitable to meet the needs of a heterogeneous feature, skills and intelligence, class. Much of the information will be presented with practical approaches that will enable learners and give them an idea of what is like to participate in collaborative and creative activities that are beneficial to all students, not only for children with special needs. Each section will attempt to integrate existing knowledge and experiences of learners in an effort to create a useful learning environment. In addition, each trainee as a part of individual work will produce learning materials according to their background and needs. The participants will ultimately broaden their professional horizons and upgrade their profile. The program is expected to contribute substantially to the professional integration of participants. At the end it's expected to impact their personal development through the empowerment of the feeling of being European citizens, improvement of their tolerance to difference and improvement of their self-esteem. The project will take place in January 2015 .
