The project that we are explaining here will be developed around the Youth participation topic and the policies that directly affect them, how their representatives interact with them, the implementation of the Structured Dialogue as a tool to change the society through the policy makers’ involvement with the proposals made by the youngsters in the debates and the awareness of the specific situations that Canary Islands must face like a EU outermost region such as high unemployment rates or exclusion related to economical, social or geographical reasons.The goals for this project can be sum to:- Analysis of the young people situation in Canary Islands related to their participation in the decisions coming from the different political institutions of Youth- Establishment of the Structured Dialogue as a tool to boost youth participation in the political institutions of Youth- Use of the regular channels to foster youth participation and taking advantages of the event in order to improve them and create new ones.- Taking account Youth policies coming from other Spanish regions to know them and for a possible adaptation to other social realities.- Analysis and awareness about the special situation of the Canary Islands as a EU Outermost Region and how they normally face some associated problems.The number of participants will be of 32 young people between 18 and 30 years old coming from each one of the Autonomous Communities and Ceuta and Melilla Cities in order to get the broadest representation and sharing different experiences. Also, the project will ease the assistance of participants coming from the seven Canarian Islands to foster the various realities that lived in the host community. The profile of the participants will be socially and politically active youngster who work or volunteer as Councelors, youth workers or members of Youth councils. Besides, we count on other participants who are involved in exclusions situations because economical, social or geographical reasons. Along these two groups, there will be ambassadors and agents for the Structured Dialogue and other youngster concerning about Youth policies.The most important developed activities will be the following:Day 1: Arrival and housing in San Antonio’s HostelDay 2: Welcoming activity with dossier, dynamics and pursued objectives. Composition of debate groups. Visibility event preparation. Debate and analysis with young people and their local and insular representatives.Day 3: Welcome from the Cabildo of Gran Canaria and visit to the Espacio Joven with Erasmus+ presentation. Visibility event.Day 4: Histories of life. Debate. Conclusions. Ideas Lab. Self managed Activity.Day 5: European Debate. Structured Dialogue Session. Visit to Natural Reserve.Day 6: Departures.By using the non formal education which supposes to learn through the personal growing up, we wish an ordered, educational process organized with workshops, different point of views presentations, debates and dynamics among other activities. Our goal with this methodology is to foster the social and personal skills development in a right environment for it, promoting the democratic values thanks to a critical attitude, the improvement ot the self-esteem and the personal valor of all our participants.The expected results can be: acquirement of a bigger acknowledge about the Structured Dialogue process, a better learning about the reality of Canarian young people and how they face their obstacles and finally, an increase of the youth participation around Youth policies.Among the effects of this project, we consider the growth of a more rewarding networking for the participants and associations involved, a change in the way to access to Youth policies and a rise of the number of participants in the Erasmus+ programme.In the long term, there are several benefits that this project can display among the participants, for example: the verification of the Structured Dialogue as a useful tool for young people to express their proposals to the policy makers, a growth in the participation around Youth and social policies, a rise in the number of participants in the Erasmus+ programme, the sharing of knowledge and adjustable strategies for different realities.Furthermore, the benefits for the policy makers are the following: a stronger approach to the receivers of their Youth policies, the creation of new forms and channels of contact, a better materialisation of the public will in the society or the reflection of the democratic values through the Structured Dialogue.
