Origin:
Since 1993, our retraining school ERP Malleterre / National Office for War Veterans and War Victims has offered to adult with disabilities, a chance to do a work placement in Europe. They never had imagined having that experience. Such mobility leads to increased linguistic, cultural and professional knowledge by giving a European dimension to their learning and their CV.
Aim is also to improve quality and increase volume of mobility and broaden the cooperation network between institutions and businesses.
Training and audiences:
ERP vocational training offers diplomas and qualification level II to V (BEP, CAP, Bac Pro, BTS and license). Students are disabled workers aged 18 to 58 years (men and women) with families or isolated. Disabilities should be physical and / or moral (life or work accidents, long illness, progressive disease). They are oriented to our school by the MDPH (Departmental House of Disabled Persons).

During the vocational training, 22 weeks of work experience are validated by a national evaluation grid
Our hosting partners:
For mobilities (3 to 6 weeks), we are looking individually for host partners in relation to trainees' future job but also with intermediary organization's cooperation (LONDON CEI, DUBLIN CEI, AMT-Incoming Seville).
Activities:
In 2014, Fifteen trainees participated at a selection, and juries has validated 11 candidates in 3 sessions (February and July 2015, February 2016).
Despite the motivation, the context (economic and insecurity) invalids 5 departures. Our users are more vulnerable physically and morally but also our contacts or partners (Belgium, Portugal, English) are febrile and prefers national trainees.
So we had followed more candidates and 8 has gone, not necessarily in the countries initially foreseen. (1 Spain 1 Portugal 2 Belgium, 4 Dublin)
For that result our educational team has mobilized to find solutions and enable all to make a stay in the best conditions.
Commentaries and outcomes:
For our fragile public, duration of 24 months project is the most suitable.
Because of our experiences in following mobilities, we can affirm effects are always positives.
Feed-back (reporting, summary activities, debriefing) and general attitude confirm that this experience promotes self-confidence and overcome their social and vocational inclusion difficulties. It gives a open minded and new approaches about what they are be able to do.
