Developing the competences and mobility of senior nursing staff to improve the quality of patient care in hospitals

Develop the competences of senior nursing staff in Europe : The new pilot project of the Leonardo da Vinci community programme aimed to develop and reinforce the competences of senior nursing staff in Europe by setting up tools for in-house training, based on a joint system of reference for the senior nursing staff profession jointly developed by the 7 participating countries. This project started in 2001 and lasted 36 months.
