Developing NGO competencies

The project aim was to develop NGO competencies of youth workers from the regions in South Caucasus through the expert internships - direct involvement into Czech NGO and disseminate these competencies through the activities of youth workers into the regions in South Caucasus. The specific goals were: to be involved and be familiar with work (management, structure), activities, campaigns and strategies of youth work in Czech NGO; to strengthen international cooperation between South Caucasus NGO and Czech NGO; to be involved and be familiar with volunteering in Czech NGO; to strengthen the ability to accept and involve volunteers; to contribute to the personal development of youth workers in the area of intercultural learning, communication, team work including involvement of youth. The expert internships involved 5 youth workers from partner organizations from Armenia (2 youth workers from 2 organizations aimed at women rights, domestic violence solutions and work with disabled people), Azerbaijan (1 youth worker from organization aimed at domestic violence solutions, equal opportunities and women rights), Georgia (2 youth workers from organizations aimed at medial competencies and involvement of youth among network of blogers who create amateur reports about region.). The basic frame of the internships was the involvement of youth workers into the one of the programmes in NESEHNUTI - link the activities of youth workers from Caucasus with the programmes of NESEHNUTÍ and present the ways of volunteering among youth within these programmes. The youth workers passed the excursions into the other youth NGOs in response to their thematic preference and needs. The project was enable to disseminate good practice, to strengthen international cooperation, to develop youth workers competencies a increase the capacity of organizations within the volunteering of the youth.
