At HLW Türnitz in-service-training of the teachers is part of the quality management. The project 'Developing ICT Skills' enhanced the skills of the teachers and at the same time it influenced their way of teaching positively. The project offered the opportunity to use and train new technologies. Thus the students' and the teachers' realities were connected and they followed the actual technological developments. Due to the up-to-date way of teaching also the students increased their ICT skills which they can use in their future professional carreers. The new tools are ideal means to organise projects in an interesting way and to offer variety. Teamteaching is necessary for carrying out the curriculum. Consequently, the training of teams has to be promoted. During the training course, on the one hand the knowledge of the individual participant was increased, on the other hand the participants met teachers from other countries which led to new projects. The different subjects of the participants were an ideal combination. They involved the linking up of professional and personal skills and the newly acquired competences.
