The idea and the necessity of the project "Designers and graphic designers in the advertising industry", whose beneficiary is "Sigismund Toduta" Arts High School from Deva, have begun from the main problem our high school encounters as a vocational high school with an artistic profile: all the specialised disciplines based mainly on a strong practical dimension are taught in the workshops of the school; there is little request for our students and teachers to participate in some projects of environmental design, painting or sculpture, developed by the local community or by any economic agents. As a result, our future graduates have almost no benefits from the direct contact with companies, institutions in their field of specialisation, so that until graduation they have not got any contact with the real labour market. Another need we considered when designing a project for the initial training of our future graduates in direct relation with companies and institutions around Europe, was the result of the analysis of the prospects of absorption of a future technician in the field of artistic strategies on the labour market at the local, regional and national level. This analysis has revealed a real demand in the field of design and computer graphics tightly connected to the advertising industry and multimedia, which is in a visible process of development.
Objectives of the project:
O1 - Thoroughly study and development of the practical-applicative specialised training of the participants, in a real economic environment, directly connected to their field of professional training;
O2 - The development of the practical skills needed in the process of creation and development of advertising, ensuring the accuracy and aesthetics of the works;
O3 - Students' orientation towards the relationship client-company, also towards the notion of marketing and promotion for sales, production and differentiate promotion of certain products;
This is why we consider as necessary and opportune for our school to develop an initial formative and managerial experience, through a professional training of 24 students, who study visual arts and architecture, in specialised companies from Spain and Portugal. Thus, the project we propose will ensure key and specific skills training, the way they are specified through the OMECTS No. 5399/17.10.2006, differentiate curriculum, upper cycle, grade XIth, vocational education, artistic profile, specialisations: architecture, environmental arts, design, visual arts, decorative arts, discipline: "Digital image processing", for which there are assigned 2 classes/week (36weeksx2=72 classes). During those 60 classes of the training the students will go through and achieve the specific competencies and the following elements of content - Using the calculation systems for image processing and Applying digital strategies in the creation of a conceptual product.
Main activities:
1. Analysis of the training needs
2. Getting into contact with the intermediary partner
3. Deciding on the receiving organisations with the help of the intermediary partner
4. Setting the placement through deciding upon the training activities, ways of evaluation of the results after the training, ways of validation and transfer of the results according to the objectives of the project, collaboration with the partners and signing the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU)
5. Filling in the application form
6. Informative campaigns about the project at school, local and regional level
7. Building the project team and preparation for contracting with the National Agency (NA)
8. Designing the detailed Training Agreement of the participant in terms of ECVET in collaboration with the partners, and also the fair selection of the participants
9. Selection and preparation of the participants, signing the individual contracts, issuance of the Europass Certificates, completing the Mobility Tool data base, purchasing the travel tickets
10. The training period provided by the receiving organisations, on the basis of the Training Agreement, evaluation of the participants, validation of the training by Europass Mobility certificates, writing the final report
11. Validation, recognition and transfer of the learning results assimilated
12. Dissemination of the project results
Expected results:
Acquiring, development of the professional competencies of the participants, in the field of computer graphics; materials for promoting and disseminating the results of the project - flyers (100 pieces), posters (10 pieces); web page; organising applicative activities within the differentiate curriculum PCI through which the beneficiaries will multiply their experience gained during the training period, thus becoming trainers for their pairs, but mainly through the setting up, managing and developing a real-like company with the sphere of activity: advertising design, having as a learning aid - "Strategies for designing various advertising materials".
