Design Your Life is a Multilateral Youth Exchange that will take place in Lentini from 6 to 17 September 2015 and will involve 26 young people from 5 countries. DYL stems from the desire of a group of young volunteers from Ex- Duco laB to confront the issue of creative reuse and the use of traditional techniques for the construction of furnishings. This project can be considered the natural son of Intro trilateral youth exchange organized by our association . The objectives are: • Comparison of lifestyle and production system of various countries; • Support the creativity of the participants by giving them new tools ; • Increase the re-use of recycled materials to create new objects of common use; • Provide a real opportunity employment to project participants ; • Create a transnational network of support for creativity. The project will count 26 participants including 6 leaders and 20 young people. Participants come from 5 countries : Italy , Bulgaria, Poland,Estonia and Romania. The partner organizations are all engaged in the theme of environmental protection and reuse of materials. Participants will be united by a common passion for art and creative manual tasks . The project will feature workshops and non-formal education . In every -day moments we will realize sharing and reflection and will take participants on a journey to discover their creativity and ability to give new life to objects now abandoned . We will try to use the metaphor of reuse as a means of personal growth for participants trying to make them see how there is no object of beauty as there is no person without beauty. We will work using different methodologies : • Experiential Education ; • Guided imagery ; • Peer education , • Cooperative learning ; • Non Violent communication. There will be products created by the guys that will be presented to the community and audiovisual materials to promote the project in other situations close to us . From this project , we expect a large impact on the participants and the local community that will host the project and the origin of the participants. We are convinced that the viral effect as from online advertising activities minute by minute will enable us to reach many people who will be inspired by the project or simply intrigued by it. The impact that we expect will be mainly on participants who will take awareness of their own potential and will have an extra gear to face the difficulties of life.
