Project develops the service environment of tourism industry in Finland and in Estonia and enhances the end-user experience of the service concept by re-designing the services. The project assists in specialisation of small-sized enterprises, evaluation and development of their functional integrity, and development of new products. Enterprises can focus their operating environment or change their business practices. Individual entrepreneurs are supported in constructing a realistic and easily adopted narrative on how their business activities connect with the social, historical and cultural environment. The project is based on operating environment analyses of tourism sector companies carried out by tourism and design students tutored by their teachers. The collected materials and analyses will be processed in workshops with the assistance of subject specialists, and as a result a handbook will be compiled of that can be utilised widely in developing tourism sector companies.
