DESARROLLO RURAL Y JUVENIL

The project “Rural development and youth” is focus on to dynamize and to promote the rural world and to offer specific projects and actions to kids, teenagers and their families who live in rural areas. For this reason, the volunteers will be involved in tasks relational with the themes mentioned. Is a group project: 5 volunteers. The duration of the project is 6 months, however, two of the volunteers will participate 3 months, one for 4 months and one of them 6 months. Their participation in the project consist to do different support tasks in summer activities. Also they are going to be involved in the RuRal card project with the aim to visit rural schools around Catalonia and do an English activity and they'll prepare English educative material to update in the website and teach and show the importance of this language between kids. As well, they'll prepare audiovisual material (stories in English) for the same reason. Besides, they will support on Youthnet project updating the information in the website and supporting the creation on new Apps addressed to youngsters. The volunteers who will spend 4 and 6 months also will participate in XARES project, in the preparation of Rural Parliament and giving support on discovery activities and record a program to promote healthy habits. Volunteers involved in that project come from Italy, Estonia and Portugal. They'll live in Solsona however they are going to stay in different villages or rural areas depending the activity which they will be supporting. On that way, they'll learn about rural life and they'll have the chance to live together with local inhabitants and get a rich cultural and social exchange. As well, they'll work different values such as respect to diversity, team work, cooperation,… Volunteers will understand which difficulties are in the rural world and for that is important they can live themselves.
