Multilingualism has been already a reality in our school for years (we teach our subjects in 3 languages: Spanish, Basque and English). We also offer German and French as optional subjects in Secondary Education and in Post Secondary Education since 1996. Despite being optional subjects we have about 200 students studying German and 120 studying French. Given the growing importance these languages are gaining over time, we consider that our teachers need to improve their language skills as well as their methodology in order to satisfy the needs of our students and meet their expectations of achieveing a good knowledge of the language through innovative and modern methodologies. As for English, we have gone a step further. In the last years our aim has been to teach some subjects completely in English. And so, we consider CLIL a cornerstone of our system. English Teaching assumes that students learn content in this language while improving their language skills. That is why we need to have highly qualified teachers, an essential factor for successful learning. Last year several teachers from our school did different structured courses on CLIL, in the field of humanities. They came excited, with many innovative ideas and new materials. Now, a short-term goal is to teach English in post secundary education, in subjects belonging to the scientific or technical field. To accomplish this goal we need teachers who already have reached the level B2 and are studying to obtain the level C1 in one or two years. As a matter of fact, we already offer to our 17-18 year old students the subjetc "Business Management and Administration" and we are already planning for next year to introduce another subject in English: "ICT" (Information and Communication Technologies) and even more subjectes in the coming years, depending on the training, availability, level of English and motivation of our teachers. Finally, we would like to comment that many students have improved their language skills and increased motivation through the student exchanges we have been doing for 16 years with schools from France and Germany, as well as study trips abroad (to EU countries always ). Nevertheless, we still intend to internationalize more and make the educational community aware of the European dimension of our school. For the next academic year 2016-2017 another of our objectives is to participate in a mobility program with other European schools and move students and teachers in those programs. Because of that, we need motivated teachers, with a good command in languages (especially English, French and German), and also make them aware of the opportunities that Europe offers them. We also want them to gain certain social, civic and educational skills that make them more capable teachers . Therefore, these courses are ideal as they allow them to improve their teaching methods, as well as their language proficiency and management of new technologies, which will benefit our students and the entire educational community. In addition, several members of the management team are committed to doing some structured courses on how to improve, expand and successfully implement the idea of "European dimension" in our school and how to tackle successfully the organization of European projects with schools from other EU countries.
