PROJET
TERMINÉ
BACKGROUND:
- A private school with bilingual classes French / Breton, in Brittany (FRANCE), rural sector
- A private school developing languages and new digital technology
- A training organization , SILC , offering training in many European countries, for languages and cooperation between European partners
OBJECTIVES :
- Giving a European dimension to our school and teaching tales productions , thanks to the collaboration of partners classes, one in French and one in English
NUMBER AND PROFILE OF PARTICIPANTS :
- Two participants who obtained their authorization to teach English in primary schools
- Both are willing to become pilots of other school teachers and students
DESCRIPTION OF ACTIVITY :
1) Handshake and mutual presentation of two classes, one French and one English
2) Study of a common tale, in the mother language
3 ) Study of the same story in the other language, exchanges and comments on both sides
4) Production of the beginning of the story by a class, another class studying typical artistic aspects of other countries and vice versa
5) Production of the rest of the story by a class, the other one illustrating the sequence and conversely
6) Production of the rest of the story by a class, the other one illustrating the sequence and conversely
7) Production of the end of the story by a class, the other one illustrating the sequence and conversely
8) Completion of illustrations and digital documents
9) Preparation of explanations concerning the modalities of production and presentation to parents
10 ) Last online productions, viewing stories by children
11) Balancing the side of children , the part of teachers , on the side of the European Partnership
12) Dissemination to other schools (including European ones) public
METHODOLOGY :
- Partners search on eTwinning
- Communication by eTtwinning , vision conferencing, Skype, emails ...
- Use of Power point , animated films created from children's productions
- Use of Digital Paintings
IMPACT :
- Impact on students through enhanced language skills of participating teachers
- Impact on students through newly acquired technical skills
- Impact on students through group dynamics established and a better cohesion of the participating classes
- Impact on teachers by strengthening the cohesion of the educational team (transmission of knowledge to colleagues)
- Impact on the image of the school (in terms of qualities and qualifications of its teachers)
- Impact on the educational community by the example of projects by colleagues
- Bait for correspondence with the European Schools ( future joint projects )
- Final Results with our organizing partner of mobility
LONG-TERM BENEFITS :
- Evolution of an inter- classes, French and English network , with regular exchanges ( mutual enrichment educational , linguistic and cultural level )
- Development of new projects to enable better use of digital tools
- Better cohesion of the educational team, invested in a common project and drawing on the expertise of each other
- Investment of students with a more concrete vision of the benefits that can be derived from the knowledge of a foreign language and the use of increasingly powerful digital tools
