NEW HORİZONS AND REGİONAL APPROACHES TO MARİTİMEThe project has been considered for the purposes of the development of the sea sports and research and the development and generalization of the maritime in our country whose three sides are surrounded with the seas and it has been planned to be implemented in Ordu which is an important sea city. The Black Sea region is also the center of the maritime of our country in the past and today. However, the importance of the sea assets that we have possessed is not adequately acknowledged. We use our seas for the purposes of fishing in winter and for swimming and cooling in summer. It is observed that the countries which are famous with their maritime and the communities of the cities which are especially famous in this field are also mariners and they have trainings regarding the maritime and their activities in the issue of the water sports and diving sport are extremely common. Even though our region is famous with its maritime, it cannot go beyond the fishery and some amateur formations and the attention of the community cannot be attracted to this field adequately. Today, in maritime, the underwater activities are also extremely important like the surface activities. The activities of the development of the underwater diving which tends to revive have accelerated in the recent years in our country and in our region. The development of the underwater diving in our region will be an important attainment in terms of our country and a new and effective employment area will be established in our region. The development of the diving will bring along the important attainments in the fields of the underwater sports and tourism and research fields. The development of the professional diving and underwater sports in our region which is famous with its maritime will ensure that our region will be an important attraction center in this field and it will develop its fame coming from the past much more as being integrated with our history and am important step will be taken for being a world brand in this field. Also, due to the development that will happen in this field, while there are regions and cities which are experts in this field in the Europe and America geographies, there are not expert regions or cities in which both surface and underwater activities are common in the Asia, Africa and Middle East hinterland in which our country takes place. For example, the teams in the regions which have expertise in the fields such as the laying of the pipelines, follow-up of the fish population and research and rescue can execute their works by acting mobile throughout the geography. Also, due to the fact that our region is a strategic region in which there are petroleum pipelines, and in which the petroleum and natural gas searches are performed, it has significant importance in the mentioned issue. It is required that the trainings of the regions which are advantageous in such certain professions which we can consider as another branch of the regional expertise whose importance is increasing especially economically in the recent years should be developed in the professional area and they should be ensured to have expertise. With the thought that these developments can be presented to the service of the other regions, it is required that the works should be performed for the requirement of the formation of infrastructure in this field. With the project which is designed with the aim of giving light to these works in the future, it has been aimed to benefit from the experiences of the countries having regional expertise in the Europe in the maritime activity branches and having fame throughout the world from the EU countries. The project participants will be composed of persons who are eager in this field. Also, the participants will increase their technical information and experiences in the city of Rotterdam in the country of the Netherlands having experiences in the field of the maritime activities and they will have the opportunity to develop themselves. Especially, our technical personnel will be trained in the field of research and the elimination of the trained personnel shortage in the field of the underwater research will be contributed and this project owner and the partner institution personnel and 18 person participant group composed of the two star divers will visit the country of the Netherlands for a period of 14 days.
