(BioenNW)
Date du début: 31 mars 2010,
Date de fin: 30 mars 2014
PROJET
TERMINÉ
The project aims to promote the wider adoption of local bioenergy in NW Europe (NWE). & thereby help realise the potential that exists in NWE for biomass to make a substantial contribution to increasing energy security. reducing carbon emissions & creating employment. The project will promote the take up of decentralised heat & power schemes at a small scale ( Achievements: Bioenergy Support CentresSupport for businesses and local authorities in North West EuropeBioenergy Support Centres (BSC) have been created as part of the BioenNW project to support companies, organisations and local authorities to deliver local bioenergy more efficiently and cost-effectively. Five BSCs have been created to date and they are located in the regions of:• Eindhoven, The Netherlands• Ile-de-France, France• Saarland, Germany• Wallonia, Belgium• West Midlands, UK The BSCs provide expertise and advice to help you to realise the economic and environmental benefits available from turning waste into bioenergy. Each Bioenergy Support Centre provides:• State-of-the-art bioenergy demonstration plants• Feedstock testing facilities• Scientific demonstration facilities• Bioenergy decision support tools• Comprehensive bioenergy document library• Training, workshops and educational materials• International network of contacts and experience for bioenergy supply chain• Support to industry orientated projects and commercial partnership• Links to other bioenergy associations and EU funded projectsCase Studies: Development PlansThe Development of Innovative Bioenergy SchemesThrough BioenNW, 25 potential sites for the development of new innovative bioenergy schemes have been identified. These sites are in the UK, Belgium, France, Germany and the Netherlands. Use the links below to view the case studies.More information is available under: http://bioenergy-nw.eu/case-studies-3/Bioenergy training coursesThe European Bioenergy Research Institute (EBRI) at Aston University has launched a suite of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) courses to enable you to increase your personal knowledge and skills in key areas relating to the bioenergy sector.Designed by EBRI’s world-leading scientists and researchers, each course is a 3-day stand-alone course. These courses are part of a pilot scheme, accredited by IChemE and supported through BioenNW, which allow individuals to take these courses at no cost to themselves or their organisation for a limited time.
