Olhos Verdes’ mission is to co-create a more beautiful world. We believe that together we can regenerate the planet and create sustainable ways of living. At a moment of so much social, economical, environmental and cultural turmoil, Olhos Verdes is being called by partners to give answers, provide Ecovillage Design Education, empower adults to start their own projects and live out their dreams - all with one common vision of a more beautiful planet. From the heart of this demanding time, Olhos Verdes wants to address the pressure we are feeling and empower ourselves to rise to the challenge and find healthy, effective ways to collaborate and serve our goals, serving the world. This project, Deep Collaboation, aims to arm us with the skills needed to be at our best working as a collective. To achieve this goal we chose a partner which is a leading organization in the field of empowering collectives to work: Col•lectiu Eco-Actiu in Spain. Olhos Verdes has common values and vision with Col•lectiu Eco-Actiu, and this is also already a way of creating Deep Collaborations. Training courses we will take at Col•lectiu Eco-Actiu in Spain:. Sustaining resistance & empowering renewal, 12th - 21st Nov 2016To explore methods of helping us take better care of ourselves, equipping us to avoid burnout and to better empower ourselves for action, we will develop tools which support skillful inter-personal work in our groups and networks and enable ways of organizing which exemplify the values we want to realize in the world. . Mindfulness for social change 2017, 1st to 8th April 2017To explore the skills of finding clarity and focus when required, we will deepen our capacity to empathise, to direct our thinking where we need it and to listen and communicate more effectively.. Conscious collaboration for social change 2017, 15th to 22nd April 2017To learn to consciously choose responses and make wise decisions amidst complexity, to work effectively with others, to create and navigate change and to foster health and well-being in our organizations.. Sustaining resistance & empowering renewal, 13th - 27th May 2017To bring feedback from the effects of all our work together and to explore how to further develop our work together in the future.The participants in these mobilities are Olhos Verdes staff members who work with adult education. The president will join 3 of the mobilities because she already knows the partner organizations and because she will be trying to improve her skills in working with everyone in the collective now that the pressure increases and the demands from outside are higher. Four other members will join the other ones: people particularly needing the skills to be learned at each course and who have a natural inclination to share the specific tools which will be learned at Olhos Verdes after returning. The selection was made in a consentment decision making manner.Col•lectiu Eco-Actiu is responsible for organizing the courses and all course activities, the accommodation and food, and they will be in charge of protection and safety of participants in the courses. Olhos Verdes is responsible for selecting the staff members to send, helping with travel arrangements, insurance and communication with participants before the journey there. Participants make their own travel arrangements.After each learning period at Col•lectiu Eco-Actiu, we will have a weekend event for the members who participated to share their learnings with the rest of the Olhos Verdes team. In these events there will be a specific session for brainstorming on ways to include the new practices and the new learned knowledge in our current practices at Olhos Verdes. We will have work groups focused in incorporating the new skills we bring from Col•lectiu Eco-Actiu.The learning from these mobilities will affect the individual people taking the training, it will immediately affect the Olhos Verdes collective. Then, as we operate with our partners and students we will impact a wider sphere with our learned skills. Since we work with students from all over the world, we expect the results of such mobilities to have repercussions all around the globe.We will have an open Facebook group called Deep Collaborations where we share our learnings, reaching even further.
