The project concerns "Future-proofing designers, education & industry" and it is a demonstration of the potential and usefulness of integrating sustainability into mainstream design education and design practice, thus providing the missing link between sustainable production and consumption. To this effect the project will develop a framework, core principles, pilot training modules and a new educational curriculum and model. The project tackles a problem in trade market by meeting real needs of the European design industry which requires that aspiring designers (students) and practicing designers (design professionals) broaden their skills to deal with the challenge of sustainability.
