Découverte des pratiques éducatives innovantes italiennes d'accompagnement des personnes âgées atteintes de maladie d'Alzheimer

In a global context of increasing numbers of elderly people with Alzheimer's disease, and wear professionals working in retirement homes, this project essentially seeks to contribute to the training of professionals working with this population.Indeed, accompanying these people requires specific educational support, so specialized methods and tools, but also tailored services organizations.The main activity of this project is the discovery of the Italian innovative practices in educational support of people with Alzheimer's disease.5 professionals in Gerontological Center of the association Les Genêts d'Or (3 professionals in the education field support, 1 psychologist and 1 manager) will perform at a Bologna mobility, a collective placement in nursing homes for CADIAI, Italian partner met during a previous European project, and also a member of the European network ARFIE.This immersion aims, through observation and exchange of good practices, to:-an improvement of skills of the participants, contributing to their employability and to fight against professional wear-new methods and specific educational support tools-new ideas of organizations in actual services-new ideas for creating new services and arguments in this sense for public financers-thought about care-giving -an improvement of the European dimension of the association.Overall this will help improve the quality of support for people with Alzheimer's disease, and may also benefit their families.Wide dissemination, written and oral, in Gerontological Center and the association of Genêts d'Or, but also in local and national specialized networks, and through the European network ARFIE, will enable a wider impact, and a more sustainable exploitation of project results.The Italian partners believe make a return visit of the Gerontological nursing home division the following year, to observe the innovative practices of the association.Possible future partnerships may also follow this first bilateral project between the two associations.
