Découverte de l'environnement commercial européen
Date du début: 1 juin 2016, Date de fin: 31 mai 2018 PROJET  TERMINÉ

Our secondary school for vocational training is taking an active interest in opening up to Europe especially in the trade sector. It is located in Bordeaux, a city which is opening up more and more to the world (43 cruising boats are calling at Bordeaux every year, which represents 5.8 billion visitors, 38% of them being foreigners).Besides, The New York Times has rated Bordeaux as the second city to visit in 2016.This 24 months project is aimed at 2 teachers and 10 students in the second year of their Baccalauréat studies. They all volunteered and are getting heavily involved in giving a European dimension to their vocational training, school, personal and cultural learning. This project concerns 2 different kinds of mobility: a 5 days mobility for the teachers and a 4 weeks mobility for the pupils. For this first European project, the teachers need to discover new professional practices, a new commercial environment as well as the English economic fabric. Thus, they will be able to better set up their students’ mobility. They will also work on their linguistic practice and develop new skills. This Erasmus+ programme will then be the occasion to give 10 pupils, selected for their motivation by the steering committee, a chance to discover a new cultural, linguistic and professional world in order to make their integration into the professionnal world easier. Indeed, their diploma will also give them a better self-image.During their 4 weeks stay in Plymouth, students will develop and make use of the professional, personal and linguistic skills acquired throughout their training on the job. This experience will allow them to discover another culture. They will integrate into a professional team, will learn and use different working methods. This new skills will be validated in the form of a “Euromobipro” certification and will enable them to choose the mobility optional subject when taking the exam at the end of their “Baccalaureat” studies. The educational support and assessment of the work experience placements will be part of their exam mark. All these vocational training courses will perfectly match the examination demands. This European dimension represents a real opportunity for these students, even more so as some of them sometimes come from disadvantaged socio-professional backgrounds. Besides the increased chances to succeed when taking their exam, these pupils will live an unexpected human and professional experience, which should restore their confidence in the future and enable them to facilitate their integration into the professional world. Our partners have all been selected for their seriousness and have many references, which constitutes a guarantee of quality.Afterwards, the secondary school’s wish and ambition are to develop its opening up to both Europe and the world through the creation of a European course. The experience of the Erasmus+ program will be a real asset for the school, the teachers and the pupils. The teachers will thus be perfectly prepared to take the supplementary examination of the non-linguistic subject. The students will have every possible asset to secure themselves a better integration into the professional world as well as a certain personal blooming. The expected impact concerning our school is to offer a new way of looking at Europe (a better knowledge of the countries but also of the authorities in charge of helping to finance European projects.
