PROJET
TERMINÉ
The project responds to the shared interest between Fundación Montemadrid and the Dirección General de Formación Profesional y Enseñanzas de Régimen Especial of the Conserjería de Educación, Juventud y Deporte of the Comunidad de Madrid (‘DG FP’), coordinator and intermediate partner of the consortium, respectively, of boosting international mobility of students at vocational training in a medium level. The project has lied in an internship programme in different enterprises of 11 weeks in Dublin, Ireland, for 31 students coming from 7 educational centers of the region of Madrid. The mobility has taken place during the project’s validity period (01/09/2015 – 31/08/2016) with the following durations: 1 internship of 89 days (87 of stay and 2 of journey) from 14/03/2016 to 10/06/2016 and 30 internships of 75 days (73 of stay and 2 of journey) from 28/03/2016 to 10/06/2016.
Project’s objectives.
The main objective of the project is to give the chance to the students of vocational training at an intermediate level of the educational centers that belong to the consortium of making their FCT module in Ireland, making easier their linguistic and cultural immersion. More specifically, the project has allowed them to improve their CV and, with that, their future insertion in the labor market, in what concerns both technical and professional capacitation and their improvement in their language competence and personal growing.
Participant’s profile.
With an average of 22 years old (all of them older than 18), 64.5% of men and 35.5% of women, Spanish nationality (with the exception of a Bulgarian woman) have accomplished an internship programme previously agreed between sending and receiving partners that were adjusted to their education.
-22 students enrolled in the 2º year of vocational training in a medium level that have obtained their Expert title after having validated their 11 weeks of internship with its compulsory FCT module. In the partner’s meeting scheduled for the following 8th September, 2016, the results of the surveys and a dissemination plan will be put in common. This dissemination plan will be also useful for stimulation and preparation of the project approved in the 2016 call.
Methodology
Communication between partners is actually really present in our quality plan. Face-to-face meetings have been complemented with phone calls and e-mails between the coordinator and the partners in order to define, follow and adapt the work plan before, during and after the mobility. During the whole process, monitoring and dissemination have been made in a transversal way.
Results and impact.
Direct impact in the participants has meant, with no doubt, an improvement in its employability, because of the knowledges, abilities and competences acquired as well as a new vision of their concept of Europe.
Likewise, the execution of the project has allowed to Spanish educational centers to initialize in some cases and to amplify in others a European trajectory, improving their educational offer and creating specific working structures and management systems that can replicate, both by 7 themselves or belonging to a consortium in future projects.
Lastly, it has exposed one more time the advantages of the cooperation between the public and the private sector.
