Date du début: 1 févr. 2015, Date de fin: 31 juil. 2015 PROJET  TERMINÉ

Project "DBI - Don't be Indifferent" associates 36 uoyng people from four countries: Poland, Cyprus, Macedonia and Turkey. They will work together on the issue of social indifference, which is extremely significant in the times of continuous rush and egocentrism. We will try to figure out what influences our perception of other people and why we are so indifferent towards harm. During the exchange participants will also learn how to effectively and more importantly safely undertake actions in critic situations. To acheive that aim participants will take part in professional workshops concerning first aid. We will also use simulation exercises. During the exchange we will focus on the use of nonformal methods of education, which will help participants to make their own conclusions and learn by experience. Working in international environment will enable the participant to get to know other cultures. Due to organization of national evenings and working in international teams young people will be able to get familiar with traditions and customs of other nations participaiting in the project. It will help us in developing the attitudes of tolerance and mutual respect towards othe nations. Not only will participants have a chance to broaden their knowledge concerning other cultures, but also their own one, which will influence their sense of self-belonging and self-development. Intercultural dimension will also help in diminishing often exaggerated and untrue stereotypes concerning other cultures and in broader context will help in overcoming the problem of prejudices and racism. We believe that due to experience gained during the exchange participants will set a good example and spread good practices in their local societies influencing positively social sensitivity.
