We are an informal group of young people and active as volunteers in the youth-work of berlin. We are organising a european youth-exchange in lithuania with our partners, the school in the small village called rakonys. The participants learn practical skills in short internships in the village for their future live and expand their skills on work and education. They learn, what it means to be a mobile european citizen and to make experiences with other cultures and languages. We aim to teach them skills for life as like being able to leave their environment, learn about other cultures, communicate with respect and work in multicultural-teams. From the beginning all the participants are involved into the planning an organisation of our project an learn how project-management works, but also intergrity as like to keep their word, participate in meetings and act responsible and adult. In excursions they learn about german-lithuanian history and about environment problems, but also about possibilities to save the nature. Also we aim to teach teachers about motivating young people to develop their own ideas and to set up their own projects. Training and Coaching are basics in our work and the methods will also help the participants to develop their personality, to believe in themselves and to act instead of consuming.
